Refund Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This English version is the legally binding version of our Refund Policy. Translations are provided for convenience only; in case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, and refunds are handled for TurniCup.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this Refund Policy.

2. Free Plan

TurniCup offers a Free Plan that allows users to create and manage tournaments with up to eight (8) participants.

The Free Plan is available without charge and may be used for an unlimited period, subject to the TurniCup Terms of Service.

3. Paid Subscription

TurniCup offers a monthly subscription that unlocks premium features beyond those available in the Free Plan.

Your subscription begins immediately after successful payment and remains active for one (1) month.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes your payment, charges any applicable sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoice or receipt.

TurniCup does not store your payment card details.

4. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically every month unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to automatically charge your selected payment method for future billing periods until your subscription is cancelled.

5. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your TurniCup account or via the subscription management link in the receipt email sent by Paddle.

When you cancel:

  • your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period;
  • no further automatic renewal charges will be made;
  • your subscription will not renew unless you subscribe again.

Cancelling a subscription does not immediately remove access to premium features.

6. Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable.

Because premium features become available immediately after payment, TurniCup does not provide refunds simply because:

  • you no longer wish to use the Service;
  • you forgot to cancel before renewal;
  • you used the Service only for part of the billing period;
  • you did not actively use the Service after purchasing a subscription.

Right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, as set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Because premium features are supplied immediately, this right no longer applies once you have started using the premium features during that period, as permitted by applicable consumer law.

Otherwise, refunds are provided only where required by applicable law, or at TurniCup's sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.

As our Merchant of Record, Paddle processes all refunds and may also issue refunds in accordance with its Buyer Terms. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; how long they take to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

To request a refund, contact Paddle at https://paddle.net, where you can find your order using your email address or order number.

If a payment is refunded or reversed through a chargeback, the related subscription ends and your account is downgraded to the Free Plan as described in section 8.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Failed Payments

If an automatic subscription renewal payment cannot be successfully processed, Paddle may make additional payment attempts in accordance with its payment retry process and may ask you by email to update your payment method.

If payment is not successfully completed within that retry period:

  • your subscription will expire automatically;
  • your account will be downgraded to the Free Plan;
  • you will be notified within the Service that your subscription has expired;
  • premium features will become unavailable until a valid subscription is restored.

8. Downgrade to the Free Plan

When your paid subscription expires or is cancelled, your account automatically switches to the Free Plan.

Your account and tournament data will not be deleted.

If your tournaments exceed the Free Plan limit of eight (8) participants:

  • existing tournaments remain available;
  • tournament brackets and results remain accessible;
  • tournaments exceeding the Free Plan limit become read-only;
  • editing premium tournaments is disabled until an active subscription is restored.

You may continue viewing your tournament data at any time.

9. Reactivating Your Subscription

You may purchase a new subscription at any time.

Once your subscription is successfully reactivated:

  • premium features become available again;
  • tournaments previously placed in read-only mode become editable again, provided they are supported by your active subscription.

10. Data Retention

Downgrading to the Free Plan does not remove your account or tournament data.

Your tournament history remains stored so that you can continue accessing your information and resume editing after reactivating your subscription.

11. Changes to this Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time.

Any changes become effective when the updated version is published on the TurniCup website.
